A MUSICIAN whose future seems bright in the field of music, Xowla, has revealed that L’vovo Derrango’s (Thokozani Ndlovu) song Resist he chose to redo it because he respects this singer who made great contributions to making people happy because of the enthusiasm he had.

This song that came out this week was sung by uTony Dayimane, Emtee, Touchline and Slim Ego.

These singers’ purpose in bringing them up, he said, is because he wants them to bring their different enthusiasm to this song which became a hit and made history in 2008.

“This is a song that we don’t want to be lost in history, I and all the artists I worked with made it in such a way that people can hear its rhythm, which is in the old song. It is full of enthusiasm and young people who came out young or before they were born will enjoy it very much. I want the feeling of it when it is played, people who listen to it will never forget the way L’vovo performed on stage when he sang it like it was written,” said Xowla.

He said he was happy that the song came out the way he had planned as it has been a dream come true for years.

“This is the music that we, as young artists, brought up. When we were growing up we listened to it and we wanted to include L’vovo, remaking it is like celebrating patience and with this song I wrote a love letter to the artists we watched growing up. I grew up watching L’vovo with great enthusiasm, dancing on stage, it seems that he is not afraid of anything, he was always happy every time you met him. Many of his songs made you dance when you saw him sing, it was just me, so his strength I always needed them too,” he explained.

He said this song is a special one for his fans and encourages the tradition of them working together as artists and to honor L’vovo for his contribution in the field of music.
