SINGER of kamakandi fame of the song My Dululu with us Baba Ka-EnzoMalibongwe “Mjolisi” Gwala, was celebrated by his family at the Mzumbe Maskandi Festival at Sibanini Stadium in Mthwalume for promoting education.
The founder of the event, Amanda Eve Mseleku, said that she decided to honor Mjolisi because she has studied up to honors in terms of education. “He is a good role model for the youth of Zumbe. We said let’s celebrate him in the month of young people to encourage other young people to follow in his footsteps.”
In response, Mjolisi said that he lacks a thousand words to thank the organizers of the Mzumbe Maskandi Festival for choosing him when there are many celebrities in the region. Last year the singer was honored at the 5th Gu Maskandi Festival in Port Shepstone for promoting the south coast region with his music.
Mjolisi was greeted with the king of Mathulini, Mthwalume, King Bhekizizwe Luthuli. The king’s award was accepted by his Royal Highness. The actor ofZaloSimphiwe Majozi, was appointed as an ambassador for the event. Other artists who shared the stage were Khuzani, Bahubhe, Stalin, Fanatic, Khetha, Menzi, Inkosi Yamacokama, Khulekani Shongwe and others. The program was hosted by Somnyama Khumalo of Khozi FM, Mashudula and others.
