IMOTO: SUZUKI GRAND VITARA

In the next few days, the Grand Vitara will step down from being the leader in the Suzuki SUV family as the new Across will be launched.

I won’t explain too much about it except to say that you should stay tuned to this website of Zeemoto to find out everything about it.

What I want to explain to you is the Grand Vitara that I got to drive for a few days.

It is divided into two types as there is a GL and then there is a GLX that comes with more, which is also what I felt the power.

Because I have come to grips with the name of power, I will not tell you about its engine.

It is a 1.5 liter petrol without turbo. 77kW of power and 138Nm of torque.

The power seemed to be sufficient here, especially in Durban which is an area along the sea. After all, if the car is in the middle of the country where the air tends to be dense, it will struggle a little in terms of power.

The biggest problem I had with it was the 4 speed automatic gearbox.

He sounds like a “good guy” since the latest cars are top class.

In another case, he was confused as to which gear to put in and the last thing he did was cause a little trouble.

This can make some look at competitors such as the GWM Jolion Pro which costs almost the same amount but has a turbo engine with more power and a dual clutch gearbox.

Other than that, it’s a great family car.

It consumed 7.1 liters of petrol per 100km.

Suzuki didn’t skimp on the things it comes with because it has cruise control as well as a heads up display.

I used to laugh when I saw that it has a rear wiper, but the Toyota Urban Cruiser it is based on, does not.

It wasn’t until recently that they installed it.

You can take it for granted but it plays an important role in your rear vision.

When you reverse, the exterior appears in the touchscreen infotainment system so you don’t crash and it also has sensors.

Some of the security features include six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS brakes and emergency brake assist (EBA) and it doesn’t back down when you leave a hill.

It looks good on the outside because it is decorated with shiny chrome on the grille. Matches 17 inch rims.

As I said it comes with a lot, inside they have installed a sunroof. However, even if he closed it and closed the cover, I could feel the sun coming in.

The seats are custom leather and the steering wheel is covered as well.

I like that the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system is fairly large. You connect a mobile phone with Apple CarPlay, play the radio and more. I like that there are buttons, not that everything is there.

Another thing I liked are the charging ports that you don’t need since there are two on the back and USB Type-C.

In the back there is room for passengers but the boot tends not to be too big because the space is taken up by the spare wheel. But you know how to lay down the seats and say it’s more.

Price:

Suzuku Grand Vitara 1.5 GLX Auto – R453 900

It comes with a four-year or 60,000km service plan and a five-year or 200,000km warranty.
