Two police officers under the Tembisa SAPS, were arrested for possession of drugs at the Boksburg Correctional Centre.
This happened on Wednesday around 09:30 in the morning, the correctional officer at the Boksburg prison, while carrying out routine entry control duties, conducted an investigation on vehicles entering the premises.
During the search, the officer stopped a white SAPS car with two SAPS members, one in police uniform, the other in civilian clothes.
While searching the vehicle, the officer found a green plastic bag containing 82 mandrax pills and marijuana, hidden under the seat. Two police officers were then arrested. The two will appear in court soon.
