THE COACHES of Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs threw insulting words at each other following the Betway Premiership home game which featured worse than football on Sunday afternoon, at FNB Stadium, Nasrec.

Pirates and Chiefs tied 1-1, a result that seemed to disturb Ouaddou’s team in the league title battle with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Before the start of the game, which was delayed by 35 minutes due to the fans not arriving on time, there was a commotion between the Pirates guards and the team that did the same to the Chiefs.

According to Khalil Ben Youssef in the media, Pirates will not win the league if they continue to behave in a way that he described as unacceptable.

“This game was watched by the whole world, but what the enemies did to us before the start of the game is embarrassing,” said Ben Youssef.

“Why don’t they allow us to be free to do what we like to do in the field we are allowed to be in? If people think that the tactics they are using will win them the league, forget them,” said the coach mocking the Pirates.

Abdeslam Ouaddou of Pirates did not miss the opportunity to criticize Chiefs for the tactics he described as bad for hurting his leading players Oswin Appollis, Relebohile Mofokeng and Tsepang Moremi who was affected in the first half.

“It must have disappointed the Chiefs fans that their team is happy to explain the points to each other in the way I saw on the field,” said Ouaddou.

“Obviously, they didn’t come to the field themselves, but they were going to interfere. Another thing that left me shocked was the way they misbehaved with my players.

“We came to play football but we found ourselves playing karate,” said Ouaddou about the Chiefs’ over-strengthening.

Although Chiefs disturbed Pirates by holding them, it could still be the same team from Naturena, which is coming since they still have a game against Sundowns before the end of the season.
