The Royal Family of Zulu, calling itself Ngobamakhosi Ntombela, who has spread on social media saying that he has returned to lead the Ntombela dynasty, has been hiding in Swat all this time.

This week, his story became a hot topic as he stated that he has returned, so what belongs to Caesar must return to him without wasting time.

This has raised many questions about the Ntombela dynasty, as it is known in our country that its king, Vukani Ntombela, is still in trouble.

Prince Thulani Zulu, spokesperson for the Zulu Royal Family, said he must explain where he came from as he now calls himself a king.

He said that another question that needs to be answered is who he was born to and whether his father was also a king. He said that according to policy in Zulu, a person becomes a king if the kingship is already in their backyard.

He said that it will never happen that a person just wakes up and grabs the throne or steals it.

”The one who comes now must say who was born, who was the king, where and when,” said the Prince.

He said if that doesn’t appear, there is not much they can comment on.

He said they will wait until he comes with the answers and explain well if he will be able to do that.

Mr. Mfihlo Ntombela, who is the leader of the young men and who spoke for the Ntombelas, reprimanded and said that it brought a lot of confusion that they saw what “this boy” did.

He kept calling him a boy, stressing that everyone was confused as to whether he was really involved.

He denied the story that this young man, who is popular on social media, has been absconding in Swat. ”You can see that he has been hiding in Swat, but the rest of us at Ntombela don’t know, it’s just something we hear about him. And that he used to dance to the song Kwa Mashu, and that’s what we hear about him,” he says.

When asked if they tried to talk to “the boy” after they heard about this act, he said there were Ntombela members who tried to talk to him, but he simply replied that they were scared, they were knee-deep in water, that’s why they are talking to him now.

He said it was the same as if those who were trying to talk to him were just pouring water on a duck’s back.

He highlighted that according to the tradition, a person does not just wake up in the morning and is always said to be a king.

Secondly, he said they know the young man’s father, he is one of the pastors in Shembe on the Buhleni side. He asked if it is possible for a person to become a king while his father is a poor man?

”We don’t know, maybe it’s happening to us who don’t know that it’s happening. But the truth is that there is no such thing, if it was the first time I ran over this boy,” he said.

He pointed out that the Ntombela dynasty has a long and rich history that is very clear and does not even need to be explained or interpreted.

The Department of Cooperative Governance and Indigenous Affairs in KwaZulu Natal was sent questions but did not respond.
