A young actor who is currently making headlines for the role he plays inHomecoming and evenThe PolygamistWonder Ndlovu, has revealed that he does not collect himself as much as some of his colleagues in the role – this is what helps him open up opportunities in the role.
Wonder (27) from KwaDabeka, Clermont, Durban, but based in Johannesburg for work, says so in an interview withOf this country with his strong and fast growth in this role as it seems that he is always getting opportunities to stand out through acting.
“The thing that I quickly realized about this role is that it is accompanied by fun, which if you are not careful and don’t control yourself in other things, it is easy to get into a trap that will make you end up being a target for the producers of different games. That is why I choose to collect them every time – which I see helps me to highlight my acting talent,” he said.
Continuing, he said that one of the things that helped him easily reach this stage is the support of his family, especially his uncle Stixx (deceased), who also focused on this role by singing and organizing art events and encouraging him to work hard.
He said his acting journey started to shine when he was studying at Langa Secondary, where he was part of a group of actors led by Siphesihle Shabalala (who is also deceased), who graduated matric in 2016 – then proceeded to KCAP to train in acting. After that he moved on to The Market Theatre, Johannesburg, where he studied with the help of a scholarship program that supported his studies from the Arts and Culture Trust.
“After that, that’s when I realized that there was nothing and no one that could stop my acting dream from coming true, as it is now history that the first show I acted in was Mama’s Child. It was the one that paved the way for me to highlight my skills in other television shows,” Wonder said.
Regarding the plans for the future, Wonder said: “I wish to continue working hard and diligently in my work and what I am most passionate about is that my work reaches the overseas level, and I continue to tell stories that have important lessons for those who follow me.”
