The case was adjourned and the defendants, who are soldiers who were supposed to return to custody, have their bail revoked at the High Court in Johannesburg.

Sandf soldiers are accused of abducting Abdella Abadiga and Kadir Jemal Abotese at the Mall of Afrika, and killing Hawks investigator Lieutenant Colonel Frans Mathipa.

The court ordered that Mogaditswe Dawid Tumelo Mohau Letsatsi, Kgosietsile Kingsley Ngwenya, Samkelo Ntokonzo Nteleza, Boitumelo Jonathan Matlou, Paulos Kgaman Wambi and Sunnybooi Pinny be remanded in custody following the trial of Sekela. 65A(1)(a) of the Criminal Procedure Act. This decision contradicts the decision of the magistrate in the Randburg District Court to grant bail to the twelve defendants.

The case was adjourned to 9 July 2026 for the search and arrest of all the accused.
