KANDAI new relationship the SACP brought together various civil society organizations as well as political parties in a conference aimed at coming up with strategies to liberate the people of this country.

In this conference which was still going on yesterday, in Gauteng, it brought together groups including MKP, EFF and other small groups as well as civil society organizations. Various topics were discussed including land reform, economic improvement, job creation and others.

MKP said that the conference paved the way for plans to improve the economy and change the social situation of the people in the country.

The spokesperson of the group, Mr. Sifiso Mahlangu, said that the divisions that exist which make the workers not to unite have been highlighted.

“We are the MKP and we have suggested that a council should be established that will bring together all these agencies in order to carry out a campaign to empower people. This council should form policies that affect the teaching of politics, and the formation of workers.”

Another thing he said must be done is to discuss with civil society groups including March and March, who have no problem with it as they have already met with it.

“We will continue to meet with this organization and no one will choose for us whether or not to meet with whom. But the important thing is that the law must be followed and everything is done.”

It has become history that March and March are in a campaign to fight against people from other countries who are in this country illegally.

He said that they are not in agreement with the existing sanction of reducing the budget of government departments and they want the implementation of the allowance for the poor as well as the NHI health insurance.

In this conference, the leader of the EFF, Mr. Julius Malema, lashed out at the ANC and DA and said that they have sold people and workers. He said that people from other countries cannot be criticized for the lack of jobs in the country.

“The ANC and DA have sold workers. Immigrants cannot be criticized because of the lack of jobs and the lack of services.”

The Secretary General of the SACP, Mr. Solly Mapaila, slammed the ANC and said that it can no longer be trusted to liberate the poor.

“The hope of the people of this country lies in non-government groups to free people from poverty. The things that came out of this conference must be done to save the workers from the problem they are facing,” he said.

The ANC canceled this conference, saying that there was a gathering of opposition parties. As it happens, there was already a deadlock between the ANC and the SACP since the Communists announced that they would contest the elections independently.

The SACP keeps complaining that the ANC has changed as it is working with the DA under the coalition government, the GNU. The SACP is in partnership with the ANC, SACP and SANCO, including the union federation Cosatu.
