DJ Sparks Bantwana has taken a break from music to learn more about it and learn from others.

Mbuso “Sparks Bantwana” Pepu based in Durban, released a song called Over there. It came out more than a year later, he said Today we do not praise.

“Someone focused a lot on building the Marimba Records company so that I could learn a lot about the music business. If you are an artist who runs your own company, you must study well. I was also learning about business and marketing,” said Sparks Bantwana.

“I also focused on social issues because we were traveling to different regions with the Department of Arts and Culture in KZN to teach about music. I was teaching by projecting with the knowledge I have. That thing took up a lot of my time,” he continued.

This DJ has hit the charts with songs including We will leave at 7 and Vetkuk vs Mahoota and us Qolo Lami which he hit with DJ Sox, he said he is back in the studio full time.

He revealed that there are songs he has done with Dangwe of Big Nuz, Zakwe, Big Zulu, Siya Ntuli and Dankie Boi and he is determined to continue working with others.

He said this song of his, which combines the rhythm of Three-Step, Gqom and Afro House, is a layer for the album he plans to release at the end of July or in August.

“As I have rejected so many people, it is because I believe that if you work with different people, it helps that your music reaches many people because everyone has their fans and the song spreads. It also encourages unity in us as musicians because when we are together we become stronger. This thing of having someone else do his own thing will make us able to gain knowledge. There is something that they know and there is something that they know.
