Orlando Pirates PLAYER who has become a reference, Kamogelo Sebelebele, revealed that although they were disappointed to be interrupted by Kaizer Chiefs in the Betway Premiership title race, this does not mean that they should give up.

Pirates are still on the top of the log despite losing important points against Chiefs in the Betway Premiership match last weekend, at FNB Stadium, Nasrec.

The main thing to note about this result is that Pirates are sitting on the top of the table because Mamelodi Sundowns made a bad stop, they have a game left.

Sebelebele, who was signed by Pirates as a winger from TS Galaxy, is still one of the first to be called when the plaster of the back wall is tied to the Pirates scheme.

Although he benched experienced players such as Deano van Rooyen and Bandile Shandu, it is difficult to oppose the decision of the coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou, for Sebelebele since he was the one who intervened in the Chiefs game.

Sebelebele, who has appeared in 27 matches in all competitions, was not the first to mediate against Pirates.

In these 27 games, Sebelebele has scored five goals, three in the league and two in the MTN8.

When the player spoke to the Pirates media team after the home game, he did not hide that they were disappointed but vowed that none of them will bow their heads in the remaining games.

“Playing in a tie with Chiefs is the same as dropping points since we are in a tough title fight against a team we are familiar with,” Sebelebele said on Orlando Pirates TV.

“It is obvious that the Chiefs had planned to play us badly. It seems that this helped them because they got the result they were looking for.

“I agree that this disturbs us in the competition, but I swear that it will not make us lose confidence or give us the idea of throwing in the towel.”

“There is still a lot that can happen this season, so our task is to reinforce that we are not going to rush like we did against the Chiefs.”
