I’M APOLOGIZED that I’ve disappeared from this site, as I’ve listened to it a few times before and expressed my anger about what I’m thinking at the time about the radio, broadcasters and other things related to this.

What makes me disappear is that I really respect this space given to meOf this countrycommenting on the broadcasting industry, so I don’t want to keep a case if I’m going to write about it, because that would make me babbling, saying something trivial.

However, I said I will not return to this because I wish to commend Ntobeko Khuluse and Ntokozo Tshapa, who are the presenters of the YouTube program called Podcast, Radio & Stuffwhere they discuss radio issues and talk to the broadcasters of different stations, I even count the veterans who have retired in this role.

The first thing that I like about this program is that Ntobeko and Ntokozo did something different that I did not expect at all to follow well-known broadcasters who are retired from this role to talk to them about their journey in broadcasting, which I think is very useful and can help current broadcasters with strategies to prosper in the role.

In the two years they have been doing this program, which they started in January 2024 – we have called more than 100 broadcasters if I am not mistaken including Makhosi Khoza, Mandla Malakoane, Kim Da Diva Ngcobo, Zandile Tembe, Langalakhe “Mangethe” Zwane, Themba Khumalo and Linda “Mr Magic” Sibiya to name just a few.

If you are a person who loves the radio or you are a broadcaster who is growing up and wishes to prosper in this role, there is a lot that you can gain from this program because those who are invited to it share information that I think is important and it can greatly help those who are emerging in the role.

And that’s not all, since the presenters of this program also have episodes where they analyze the current news on different radio stations, I think it helps them a lot to increase the number of people who follow them because their views are very targeted, and it shows that they are bothered with information.

Another thing I notice about them is that they take and listen to the opinions of their viewers, because I just remember when they were just starting, there were also complaints about the sound quality they used, which I see they have tried to fix that now.

Another thing that often makes me cry about people who present the program in pairs is that they often have a problem with each other’s mouths, which makes the program not proceed properly. The two don’t do that at all, they give each other the opportunity to ask the question they have planned, which indicates that they are preparing before starting to record.

What I would advise them to do now is that they try to reach out to broadcasters from other provinces and not focus too much on broadcasters based in KwaZulu-Natal only, because there are many broadcasters who we want to hear their stories and journeys in broadcasting who work for different radio stations in Johannesburg and its surroundings.

I also wish that they continue to grow in their work, until they get equipment of a higher level than the ones they are using now so that their work can rise to a higher level than it is currently. Podcast Radio & Stuff!!!
