President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a stern warning, that he will not allow people who are unhappy with things affecting illegal immigrants to break the law of the land and do what they want.

Ramaphosa reprimanded the people of this country and said that they should not end up harboring hatred because they are not sitting quietly, but they are working for the people in this country illegally.

“Complaints about illegal immigrants should not lead to hatred or violence against immigrants. We are fighting the problem of illegal immigrants, but we will not allow violations of the law as well as people doing what they want,” he said.

He called on immigrants to respect the laws, customs and things done in the country.

“They also will not like it if the people of this country do whatever they want in their countries. Immigrants should respect the laws of the country,” Ramaphosa said.

He praised the contribution of African countries that helped the country during the fight against apartheid.

“We were welcomed with open arms in other countries when we were oppressed. We were persecuted in these countries, some even died for our sins because they persecuted those who fought for freedom. We are a people known for warmth, we cannot be ruled by hatred against people from other countries, who also help us when we are in trouble,” stressed Ramaphosa yesterday speaking during the celebration of Independence Day, in Mangaung in the Free State.

He just said this and people turned around and put it on their shoulders to destroy immigrants who do not have qualifications in this country by having marches, which expresses their disapproval of being in this country.

Ramaphosa said he knows that some people are in the country illegally, they entered the country because of corruption in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

There was an incident that had no impact when one of the attendees of the event, trying to get on the stage where there were officials, including Ramaphosa, was abused by the security guards and taken outside.

Ramaphosa enumerated other good things that he said are happening in this country, including the issue of people being arrested, because of the Madlanga Commission.

“We are fighting corruption and law breakers as we will arrest all those who do bad things. Do a good job Madlanga Commission.”

He mentioned education, saying that a lot of students study for free and benefit from the food program every day. He also mentioned the issue of supporting students, who study for free in higher education institutions paid by the NSFAS fund.

“The people of this country receive health care as well as medicines in local hospitals. They are built houses, they get water and electricity.”

He recalled the first day that the democratic government was voted for in 1994, when he said that crowds of people who were eager to vote came out. He ordered men to protect women, not to incite violence against them. He said there is still a lot to be done in this country to lift people out of poverty.
