Today’s MATCH between Cape Town City and Magesi FC seems likely to determine the team that will win the PSL Promotion Play-Offs which are about to wrap up.

City will face Magesi in the PSL Promotion Play-Off match today at 3 pm at Athlone Stadium, Cape Town.

These teams are tied on three points, but Magesi is in second place due to the difference in goals in this three-team log.

Milford FC, which is leading by six points after the Play-Offs games, statistically has a better chance than its rivals, City and Magesi.

City come into today’s game with Magesi having regained hope after defeating Milford FC with a 1-0 win on Saturday, at Mhlathuze Sports Complex, Richards Bay.

The Citizens need to win today’s game against Magesi by more than two goals, and then pray that Magesi will draw against Milford on Saturday, to return to the Betway Premiership.

On the other hand, Milford, who are leading in points, must pray for City to play against Magesi today. This will enable them to play for a point when they face Magesi at Seshego Stadium in Polokwane, on Saturday at 3pm.

And Magesi still has a chance to return to the Premiership if they can come back with three points in today’s game against City, then they will fight to come back with another three points against Milford.

The PSL Play-Offs are Dikwena tsa Meetse’s second chance to fight to return to the Premiership after narrowly surviving relegation, finishing in 15th place on the log.

The success of the Stallions in these games can increase the number of KwaZulu-Natal teams in the Premiership by becoming the fifth team in the province in this category.
