The ANC will make other changes in its leadership in the province of KwaZulu-Natal and in the regions of this province.

The Secretary General of the ANC, Mr. Fikile Mbalula, stated that they will announce a new interim team to lead the ANC in the province and also announce the ones who will lead the ANC in the regions.

He said this while talking to the media on Thursday.

Mbalula said he will announce the new team to lead the province at the weekend.

“We are on the verge of appointing a new team to lead the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal. On Saturday I will be in KwaZulu-Natal, where we will appoint a new team. We have already appointed senior leaders to lead the team.”

The team that was there had more than 60 leaders.

It is expected that many will be axed as Mbalula revealed earlier that they will reduce the team.

Mbalula also lamented that the team that was there is failing to do its job, it only knows how to fight internal battles.

He even compared the team to the Tazz car brand.

The ANC recently announced changes in the top leadership of the provincial leadership team.

In these changes, Mr. Mike Mabuyakhulu was appointed as producer, while Mr. James Nxumalo was appointed as organizer.

In these changes announced by Mbalula last week, prominent leaders including Mr. Jeff Radebe, Mrs. Nomusa Dube-Ncube, and Mrs. Weziwe Thusi, were defeated.

Mbalula revealed that they will again appoint teams to lead the ANC in the regions.

“On Monday, during the holiday, we will appoint the leadership of all the regions of the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal.”

This means that the leadership of the ANC in the regions that was appointed last year will be axed.

The leadership to be announced by Mbalula will lead the ANC campaign in KwaZulu-Natal.

The plan for the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal is in disarray as the province escaped the 2024 elections.

The ANC is the third largest party in KwaZulu-Natal, it is part of the coalition government.

Things started to go wrong for the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal in the 2021 local government elections where it lost a number of municipalities.
