GETTING another chance to open the points gap in the PSL Promotion Play-Offs for Milford FC makes the striker of this team, Siphosethu Ndlabi, realize the need to fight for life and death to avoid disappointing their fans in the final match tomorrow when they face Magesi FC.
Cape Town City’s 1-1 draw with Magesi on Wednesday, at the Athlone Stadium, Cape Town, gave Milford a unique opportunity to continue opening up the points gap in the Promotion Play-Offs.
City, who finished with four points, have ended their efforts to return to the Betway Premiership and Magesi still have a last chance as they also have four points.
Milford, who lead by six points, need only one point in the Promotion Play-Offs match against Magesi tomorrow at 3 pm, at Seshego Stadium, Seshego, to secure a place in the Premiership next season.
“Things happened as we wished for Magesi and Cape Town City to play in a draw, which means that the door is left for us to make sure that we avoid disappointing our fans in this last game we will play against Magesi.
“We know that in terms of points things are in our favor and we only need a point to enter the Betway Premiership but we are committed that in Polokwane we will fight for a win, not a draw,” said Ndlabi who scored the most important goals for Milford this season.
“Last Saturday, we lost the opportunity to open up the points gap when we were beaten by Cape Town City, that’s why we have no intention of repeating what happened to us when we played against Cape Town City.
“Our fans have supported us since the start of the season until now and they have continued to support us. Even in our last away game we will need their support.
So we are committed to fight to the death on the field, not to disappoint them but bring happiness to them by entering the team in the Betway Premiership, and change our lives and our families’ lives.”
