AS Men’s Month draws to a close, world music legend Mbuso Khoza has organized a forum where men will discuss various topics. Speaking to Solezwe, Mbuso said the gathering, called Njobenhle Men’s Conference, will be held at KwaKhuzumuntu Farm House, Showe near KwaBulawayo palace, near Dlangubo, this Saturday at 10 am.
Mbuso said that he held this conference with the aim of coming up with a solution to these problems that are happening in the country because of men. He said that they will want to see where they can throw it as men.
“I found out that the issues we face as men are more than culture. We will come to look at tradition, we will also look at spirituality. What makes us look at tradition is that we really burn incense but to no avail. We no longer understand what we are doing with it.”
He said they will want to know what makes a man pick up a stick and say he is protecting his family, and what makes a man angry and scold his wife. “We will be looking at whether that is caused. Is it caused by genetics or by the way a person is raised?”
The State has also indicated that there will be no discussion about the knowledge of remedies. He said it is important for men to know the remedies so that they don’t find themselves calling other men to pamper their wives. He also revealed that they will talk about the origin of the ancestor and its importance.
“We will know more about whether the ancestor is something that exists or something that doesn’t exist.”
He said that after the conference, the guests will have the opportunity to see the hymn group, Ijadu Le Afrika. He also said that the actors he played with in Mkhokha The Curse will also be there.
