EFF LEADER, Mr Julius Malema, wants his party to be given the position of Minister in the KwaZulu-Natal government.

Malema said that no matter what, they will get the position they want once the coalition government in charge of KwaZulu-Natal is dissolved. He said this while talking to the media yesterday.

The EFF supports MKP’s efforts to overthrow the coalition government in charge of the province. MKP’s motion of no confidence in the leadership of the Prime Minister, Mr. Thami Ntuli, was rejected last year.

Malema said that they will eventually overthrow the government of KwaZulu-Natal, and said that they will also be part of the administration of the province once the government led by the IFP is overthrown.

“We will have trustees in KwaZulu-Natal in the MKP government. Do not rush, speed kills. We are working here in KwaZulu-Natal and something will happen soon. You know that in two hours a lot can change in politics.”

Malema said they want the ANC to cooperate with them and the MKP.

“These groups will rule the country in the future.”

Malema also explained in detail his relationship with people whose names appear in the commission investigating the allegations made by the KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.

Malema admitted that he knew businessman Mr. Ze Nxumalo and the late taxi driver who was threatened like a snake, Mr. Jotham “Mswazi” Msibi. He admitted that he gave a speech at Msibi’s funeral.

He said he first got to know Msibi when there was a taxi strike. He went on to say that they were discussing taxi matters with Msibi.

“I went to him to ask him to lower the taxi fare. There are many EFF people who ride taxis. There was nothing criminal we discussed with him.”

Malema said there is nothing wrong with his relationship with Nxumalo.

“Until I know that you are the son of Professor Otty Nxumalo, who was the first general secretary of the IFP.”

Malema said that Nxumalo is a friend of many businessmen, including white people.

“Ze is a friend of many businessmen. Do you know that he even visits Mr. Johan Rupert’s farms? Ze is a friend of Rupert’s daughter. Why don’t you ask those businessmen what they have in common with Nxumalo? Who are you white people?”

Malema said there is nothing to say about his relationship with the appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Shadrack Sibiya.

“I know him professionally.”

He said he is not involved in criminal activities.
