On Monday, 25 May 2026 the Ministers of Justice, Police and Security (JCPS) will convene an emergency meeting to discuss the growing protests against illegal immigration.

The meeting will be held at the Union Buildings in Tshwane and will be attended by all ministers of the security group and senior officials responsible for national security. In response to the broader challenge of illegal immigration and issues of social cohesion in general. They finalized a draft national action plan to combat racism, xenophobia and related intolerance.

Over the course of the day, the ministers will meet with political parties, various groups and associations that have participated in mass demonstrations and public marches against illegal aliens across the country. The purpose of this discussion will be to establish rules for participation in protests but also to discuss government plans and ways to deal with the huge problem of illegal immigration.
