The channel, known for highlighting new talent and doing something different in broadcasting, is ready to unveil its 2026 schedule, which is a clear indication of where we are headed.
Over the past year, Y has continued to grow its audience and transform its sound and solidify its position as a leader in youth-driven communications. Changes you can expect with different programs from the morning; Karen Mthethwa enters the 9AM-12PM slot on the showThe Glow Up. This program highlights the new year of changes in this station since the vacancy of Xtremme, who announced last week that he is leaving the station as he wishes to focus on another business.
There are also changes happening in the daily night shows as Barbara “Baxbara” Moagi will be joining Tulz Madala as a brand new host onUncensored (8PM–10PM), they will be a brave and ready team to hold special interviews.
This station is also saying goodbye to Dimpho Makgotho, Y’s favorite who had been there for four years as he also insisted on greener pastures.
Lovers of hip hop music will also be happy to know that there is something new coming as well DJ Sliqe and Roiii take over every Sunday evening from 7PM–10PM. ISaturdays will also get ivavavum’ , get cultural highlights with a new voice on RIZZ radio from 5PM–6PM. An already familiar face in entertainment, Munaka will highlight rising stars and bridge the gap between what’s hot on the streets and what’s next at the Y.
Karma Karma Radio hosted by Shimza comes on Saturday nights at 9pm – 10pm, which is a great time for people who are getting ready for a groove that brings back the fun of his days when he hosted the show YTKO. Another new broadcaster joining the station is Kmass on weekends from 10-2pm.
