Musa Mseleku’s DAUGHTER, Abongwe, revealed that it was not easy growing up on television as the show about their family’s life started when she was still a student, until now.
Abongwe who now works at Multichoice as he has a degree in photography, had a talk withOf this countryas he was seen working at other Mzansi Magic events in Johannesburg.
Abongwe said it is nice to see where he is now and what makes him even happier is that he is now self-employed and independent.
“Growing up on television when we first started was not fun as there were many things that happened. Another person was young because if I remember correctly I did Grade 6 at school before everything. But now a person has grown up, everything we do as a family is fun, you see now I am standing with you and we are talking, I have no problem but if it was at the beginning at that time I would not have agreed because it was something scary, we are not used to it and I might cry,” said Abongwe.
He said that at home they are making programs, and he, as he also grew up seeing how things are done, he is determined not only to focus on them but also on films.
“Even now that I have started shooting different things, I don’t want to focus on programs like it happens at home. I want to see my name in films, television shows, and other different things. We are very grateful to my father for giving us this opportunity, because I loved being in the field I am in now. When we started shooting, it brought back your love that I had but it has gone and when I grew up I saw that we were doing programs and it woke up. At home I was the one who took pictures of people when we were at different events, so I thank my parents for letting me do what I love.” she said.
Regarding growing up in a big polygamous family, Abongwe said that he does not know any other life apart from it so he will not say that he hates it.
“I will not be in the party, I don’t like us because we bring a lot of pressure, we need money and take care of those who are not. I can tell people that everything they see is true because we are happy, we argue, everything is true, there are no lies or made up,” he said.
According to what was said about their family on social media, he said that people depend on who is criticized that day or who is praised.
He said he doesn’t pay much attention to social media because people say what they like that day and will say anything because some people don’t use their real names.
