When she went to her mother, the SABC released a bitter statement to fans of the new show Pimville.

The decision of this public broadcaster was final.

“After a thorough review process and careful consideration, the SABC announces that Pimville will cease to operate as of tonight, due to unresolved contractual obligations and violations that have been identified and formally referred to Bakwena Productions,” the SABC said in a statement.

The organization says it knows that these stories do not go down well, especially considering the dedication and hard work shown by the cast, crew, and the support of the audience.

“The SABC would also like to assure the public that the purchase and use of Pimville follows the organization’s approval process and the process that applies to SABC products. This includes the necessary regulatory, operational, commercial, and administrative approvals.”

“Following concerns raised during production, the SABC implemented enhanced monitoring and risk mitigation measures aimed at strengthening production monitoring and operational controls.”

The organization says that efforts to help the game have failed, in addition, the legal process is still ongoing regarding the production company, including the issuance of a notice of violation of the law in April 2026.

“Any further action that emerges, will be guided by the ongoing contractual, legal, and administrative process.”
