The fame of the faith music group, Joyous Celebration, has been hit once again by the death of a singer who invited them to their concert at Lemo Green Park, Bloemfontein, on Saturday.

The group issued a statement on Thursday announcing the death of singer Itumeleng Marema.

She said that Marema would also be singing this weekend as the singers she invited under the slogan of Friends of Joyous.

“Although we were looking forward to praising him, we are grateful for the impact he has had on life, through faith and music. We offer our condolences to his family, relatives, friends and all those who have had an impact on their lives. We pray that God will comfort, strengthen and bring peace to all those mourning during this difficult time,” said Joyous.

This singer from Free State had songs including Khanyisa, Myekeni, Nomathemba and others.

It is not clear if he was taken as it appears that he was still using Facebook in the tank.

On Facebook, he was looking forward to the Joyous event.

This singer just died, Joyous is in the water following the death of one of its members in a car accident and two others were seriously injured two weeks ago.

Bongani Dube Mtshweni, who was on the team directing the sounds of the accident that befell them on their way back from Limpopo, passed by the accident. Joyous is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
