He is ASKING for support for his new music to defray the medical expenses of the waito singer, L’vovo Derrango, who suffered a stroke in 2022.
L’vovo, who hails from Newcastle, has since released a single in March last year. He said The Xhosa in collaboration with his former producer Zakes Bantwini where Nana Atta and Okmalumkoolkat were featured. This time he is preparing to release an Extended Play (EP) before the end of the month.
“We are making an EP with four songs as someone is recovering very well to remind people that the retreat of the ram does not mean running away but it means paying the energy. I was not planning because I was only recovering, but I was continuing the work,” said L’vovo.
He said he worked with Madanon, MDU aka TRP, Pex Africah, DJ Merlon, Gift the DJ and Goodman.
“The first song talks about the Creator. We are thankful for life, we are thankful for protecting us and we are thankful that he is the living God and has given us another chance. We made him dance a little but it is a song of faith that will touch many people. When I came back I thanked God first before we danced in an unknown way,” he explained.
He went on to say that in all the songs where he mixes different rhythms of music, he gives thanks for life, praises God and talks about the things he has gone through.
“I’m not asking people to donate, but all I’m asking for is support because the injury didn’t kill my dream of being a singer. Father Siyabonga. My wish is that in the first month it has been played more than 1 million times. I’m not asking them to invest money but if they play my music they will bless me a lot in life,” said L’vovo.
He said it will also help him to make money because what he had saved is getting less and less since he continues to walk and the physiotherapist is helping him to be able to use his hand fully which he said is still stuck.
The singer suffered a stroke on stage at an event held in Ndwedwe in December 2022.
“I worked, not because I’m just asking.”
He revealed that he is determined to travel to different places where he performs.
“I want to reacquaint myself with what happens in entertainment venues because it has been a long time since a person has been locked away without going out. I would be happy to visit different states because I can only be supported in one.”
