This Easter weekend, two of Gauteng’s most popular wildlife areas, the Lion & Safari Park and Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve, are transformed into family playgrounds offering visitors an unforgettable fun mix of wildlife shows and various games.

From 3 – 5 April, guests can expect a great time of exciting competitions for children and the opportunity to see different types of wildlife.

All programs are tailored to the needs of families, and both parks will host a series of Easter-related activities to keep younger visitors entertained throughout the day. This includes face painting, making balloon animals, painting booths, drawing stations, and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny, who will be handing out Easter eggs to happy children.

Beyond the festivities, visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a social media contest that will be held over the long weekend. Visitors to any park between April 3-5 can snap a photo in the visitor selfie frame, share it on Instagram and tag the park for a chance to win prizes for having a great time with the animals.

At the Lion & Safari Park, one lucky winner will walk away with a prize of R6 000 for two! This includes an afternoon safari with a picnic set up with all the delicacies, you will play with quad bikes (four wheeled motorcycles) as well as a horse ride and a R1 000 food voucher.

Meanwhile: At Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve, the prize promises exactly what you got from the two neighbors as they also give you an afternoon safari and a well-planned picnic with local delicacies, a tour of the WonderCave and a R1,000 food voucher – also worth more than R6 000!

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to make the most of the day’s activities and ensure they don’t miss out on the festive spirit and competition.
