The National Consumer Commission (NCC) is urging consumers to recall SPAR yoghurt products.
Imikhiqizo ebaliwe yi-SPAR Fat Free Yoghurt, Low Fat Yoghurt, Double Cream Yoghurt, Indulge Double Cream Yoghurt nemikhiqizo ye-SPAR Active Drinking Yoghurt.
The affected products have a sell-by date of August 9, 2026 and a use-by date of August 12, 2026. The products were sold at various stores nationwide starting June 15, 2026.
SPAR informed the NCC that the recall was due to a malfunction of the machine during production. This can cause a change in the product’s taste, smell, and appearance. The use of affected products can cause stomach upset.
Consumers are advised to return the products to any nearby SPAR store for a full refund or exchange. NCC encourages all consumers to respond promptly to its call.
