BECAUSE Bafana Bafana have turned their backs on South Africa, there are doubts about their chances of going far in the World Cup since the countries they have been drawn with in Group A are on fire in the qualifying games for the tournament which will start in less than 10 days in Mexico, Canada and the United States of America (USA).

Bafana, who are returning to the World Cup for the first time, left after a review following visa problems that postponed the trip from Sunday morning until Monday.

Although Bafana have finally arrived in Mexico, there are still some left in South Africa including the coach, Helman Mkhalele.

All these problems outside the field have reduced Bafana’s crucial hours to begin the work of getting used to the weather and everything that will be needed.

What is difficult to ignore is that since there is a misunderstanding about Bafana’s plans, the countries included in the group, Mexico, the Czech Republic and South Korea are doing their best to prepare for the start of the tournament.

Last week, Mexico won 1-0 against Australia, followed by 2-0 against Ghana, who will play in the World Cup.

Before facing Bafana on June 11, at the Azteca Stadium, the team coached by Javier Aguirre, will play the last test against Serbia on Friday.

This is the day Bafana will meet Jamaica in Pachuca, Mexico.

Mexico, playing at home in the World Cup, will arrive as one of the most confident national teams. However, their last game must have pleased the Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, since (Australia) gave up many easy chances which are signs that Mexico will crack if you press them fast.

Bafana’s other opponents in Group A, the Czech Republic, will come into the tournament in form following their 2-1 home win over Kosovo.

Czechia (Czech Republic) will still play one game before the start of the World Cup against South Korea.

Just entering Korea, in their previous match they beat Trinidad and Tobago 5-0. Among the goal scorers is Son Heung-min of England’s Tottenham Hotspur who scored two goals.
