Not long after Arsenal FC ended their 22-year streak by winning the English Premier League title, they are facing another challenge to make history in the Uefa Champions League.

Manchester City, who were in a heated battle of the Premier League with Arsenal, their 1-1 draw was held by Bournemouth on Tuesday, and Arsenal became the champions of the league for the first time after 22 years since they last won this title in the 2003/04 season.

Arsenal will play Crystal Palace tomorrow at 5 pm at Selhurst Park, London. After this match, the Premier League trophy will be officially presented.

The celebrations will have to come to an end as the team coached by Mikel Arteta is preparing to play in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on May 30 at the Puskas Arena, Budapest, Hungary.

Under the leadership of Arteta, who took over as coach of the club in the 2019/20 season, Arsenal are on the verge of making history in the Champions League.

Since the creation of the Champions League in 1955, it is still called the European Cup, The Gunners have reached the final of this competition once, which happened in the 2005/06 season when they were defeated by Barcelona 2-1.

By knocking out Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals, The Gunners reached their second Champions League final since 2006 under Arsene Wenger. They are on the verge of making history by winning this world-renowned European competition for the first time.

Arteta, who has won four titles for this team, namely the Community Shield twice, the FA Cup and the Premier League, is on the verge of becoming the Messiah by being the first coach to win the Champions League in history.

Under the leadership of this Spanish coach, the Gunners have been approaching the Champions League final.

In the 2020/21 season it reached the semi-finals and was knocked out by Villarreal, it was the same in the previous season of 2024/25 when it was knocked out by PSG in the semi-finals.

This made the final between the Gunners and PSG considered a grudge match. PSG will defend the trophy they won last season by defeating Italy’s Inter Milan 5-0 in the final.
