The Durban Central police have opened an investigation docket following the incident where a foreigner was found dead, suspected to have jumped from the 8th floor of a building on Margaret Mncadi Avenue, Durban, on Monday night.
Reports indicate that three people from other countries broke into the building where the goods are stored and stayed there for three days. On Monday night, it is said that they heard a noise and thought that it was people who were going to expel them from the country, and they tried to escape from that situation. One of them jumped from the 8th floor and broke his limbs. It is said that he died at the scene, the second escaped and the third remained.
The police said they will start the process to confirm how the deceased and his partner who stayed behind entered the country and where they came from.
