AFTER the break between him and Mamelodi Sundowns, star striker Peter “Shasha” Shalulile, is expected to join the Zimbabwean team, Scotland FC, who seem to have lured him with money.

Sundowns issued a statement yesterday confirming that they have parted ways with Shalule who had played for them for six seasons.

Shalulile (32) originally from Namibia, joined Sundowns in the 2020/2021 season from Highlands Park, and made a name for himself by scoring goals.

He scored important goals for Sundowns in six seasons, winning five Betway Premiership titles, the MTN8, the Nedbank Cup, and the Caf Champions League.

It turns out that he was lured with a stone of money by Scottland, which is owned by the king, Scott Sakupwanya.

Scotland, which is full of stars who have made a name for themselves in South Africa, including Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat, will play for the first time in the Caf Champions League in the upcoming 2026/2027 season.

With the discovery ofOf this country According to a source in Chloorkop, Sundowns headquarters, Shalule has taken a flight to Zimbabwe to finalize negotiations with Scotland.

“I can confirm that Shasha is heading to Zimbabwe to finalize negotiations with Scotland, who promised him a sum of money, estimated at R4.1 million.

He decided not to renew his contract that expired on June 30 (Tuesday), and did not return to South Africa because he was already heading to Harare.

Many teams wanted him, including Egypt, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates, but he chose Scotland because of the goals he has as a team that wants to progress and put it on the table, which satisfied him very much,” said the source.

There is no doubt that the signing of Shalule by Scotland is very much in line with their goals to get the Champions League, since this veteran striker in the Champions League will meet with Billiat who was present at Sundowns when they won the competition in 2016.

Shalulile is leaving Mzansi, he still holds the record for scoring the most goals in the history of the Betway Premiership. He scored 130, a record he recorded last season, breaking Siyabonga Nomvethe’s 129. Shalule is followed by Bradley Grobler with 124 goals. Grobler does not have a team as he recently parted ways with Sekhukhune United.
