THE COACH who was the first to come to South Africa when Kaizer Chiefs hired Nasreddine Nabi in July 2024, Fernando da Cruz, is the one who is listed among those who may fill the position of the coaches who held the position of Naturena team, Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef.

Kaze from Burundi and Ben Youssef from Tunisia, who were suspended last year until the end of the season, were released last year, even though they put Chiefs in a better position on the log compared to the previous six seasons.

Although the majority of Chiefs fans are promoting a young self-made coach in Mzansi, including Pitso “Jingles” Mosimane, Benni McCarthy and Manqoba “TV” Mngqithi, yesterday’s reports indicated that Chiefs could end this French coach at any time.

Since the Chiefs parted ways with Nabi in September last year, their fans have not turned away from the fact that they are looking for a quality coach who will revive this team which is considered as hundreds in Mzansi.

Da Cruz was the first to arrive at Nabi’s team in July 2024, and he was the one who oversaw the preparations for the start of the season before suddenly leaving to join the Moroccan football association before the season started.

This coach who was hired by Chiefs as a deputy has worked for Lille SC of France and AS Far of Morocco who were beaten by Mamelodi Sundowns in the Caf Champions League final this season.

Those who know all about Chiefs say that Da Cruz has resigned from the Moroccan association, where he was working as a strategist and it appears that he may come with his coaching team to Chiefs.

All these were rumors that spread yesterday, but the Chiefs did not breathe until they published this report.
