THE COACH of Kaizer Chiefs, Cedric Kaze, hopes that they will put a yoke on the managers with the decision they have to make about who will cook this Naturena team next season.
Chiefs lost 1-0 to Chippa United in the last match of the Betway Premiership season at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, on Saturday. Sammy Seabi scored the winning goal of the Kings’ event in the second half.
The Chiefs who entered the field are already sure that no team will move them to third place in the Premiership log, giving a chance to young players such as goalkeeper Takalani Mazhamba and striker, Naledi Hlongwane, who were playing in the DStv Diski Challenge. Next season, Amakhosi will represent South Africa in the Caf Confederation Cup with Durban City who are the champions of the Nedbank Cup.
On the field, the Chiefs players were playing freely since they were under no pressure to win the game. On Chippa’s side it was very different as they had to fight not to fall in the Play Offs which could have put them in trouble for the ax. The Chiefs had chances to be counted on when Hlongwane crossed in the fifth minute of the game, coming out alone but Chippa’s defenders ended up missing him before he could kick.
