Sekhukhune United (0)

Kaizer Cheifs (0) 2

ONE of the coaches who have been suspended until the end of the season in Kaizer Chiefs, Khalil Ben Youssef, wishes that it will be the last time that a team that is considered as big as that of Naturena, is struggling to secure a place in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Ben Youssef said this before collecting full points from Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership game last night, at Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane.

Both teams started the game with the opportunity to represent the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in the Confed Cup next season by finishing third in the Premiership log.

It was the bravery of Tashreeq Morris that ensured Chiefs place in the Confed Cup with the goal he scored in the 86th minute. This goal was followed by a penalty by Mfundo Vilakazi who had also just entered.

“We have to worry about the fact that a team that is considered as big as Chiefs is fighting for more than the Confed Cup in the coming seasons,” said Ben Youssef at SuperSport.

“We understand that both teams are looking for the same result since they claim the same place, but it is up to us to show that Chiefs is a team that is considered the biggest.

“We have a chance to collect some points if we win all the remaining games, so we plan for that. We should not, however, in the coming seasons accept easily that we are fighting to finish in third place because Chiefs and their fans deserve better than that,” said Ben Youssef.

It was played until the break, with no team showing signs of wanting a place in the Confed Cup, which is proven by the fact that the goalkeepers were relaxed on both sides.

The second half was started by Thabo Cele and Reeve Frosler who replaced Thabiso Monyane and Sibongiseni Mthethwa who did not return in the second half.

The entry of these players coincided with the fact that it seemed as if the Chiefs were increasing the game until Morris entered, who had not been seen on the field for a year.

The cold continuation of this game in the second half ended with quick goals in the last minutes scored by Morris and Vilakazi.
