Three parties, which had announced that they will unite, will contest the elections independently, under the umbrella of Unite for Change.

These groups areGOOD Party, RISE Mzansi and Bosa, yesterday issued a statement revealing that they are about to contest the election individually. He said that he will no longer run for election under Unite for Change because there are things that still need to be discussed in detail.

“Despite the great distance that has been traveled in bringing these parties together to contest the elections together, there is a need to start fixing some things. These things cannot be completed quickly, as the elections are in Mome. That is why there is a need for the parties to continue to be independent in the elections,” said the statement of these parties.

We said that these parties will be on the ballot paper, where they will be independent.

“He will no longer run for elections under Unite for Change. The country is in crisis and therefore needs experienced leaders.”

Earlier, these groups said they would register with the commission overseeing the election under Unite for Change, so that they can contest the election jointly.

Bosa is led by Dr Mmusi Maimane, GOOD Party is led by Mrs Patricia de Lille, and RISE Mzansi is led by Mr Songezo Zibi.

These parties said they will appoint experienced people to represent them in the elections. He said he would focus on things that affect jobs, delivery of needs to people, security, fighting corruption, growing the economy and other challenges facing the country.

As it happens, it is expected that the election date will be announced before the end of June this year. Elections are expected to be held between November and January next year.

The leader of the IFP, Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa, who is the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Indigenous Affairs in the country, will be the one to announce the date of the election because it is a local government.

If it is a national election, it is announced by the President of the country.
