ORLANDO Pirates have sacked their coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou, against TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership match at Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit, on Sunday.
Zimnyama’s goals were scored by Relebohile Mofokeng (three), Tshepang Moremi, Kamohelo Sebelebele and Lungisi Mbunjana which was a spear that stabbed home.
With this, Pirates dropped Mamelodi Sundowns to the top of the Premiership log, opening a point gap. The victory of the Pirates and their scoring of six goals is a challenge for the Brazilians who were playing in the Caf Champions League.
Sundowns have to pay the debt by collecting points, and increasing the number of goals. There is no question that Zimnyama’s win in this way wiped away tears. Ouaddou was angry at Nandi’s for giving up opportunities for his players since it might end up counting the goals in the end.
“This is an answer to people who doubt the dedication of the players. I always say that no one in my team enters the field wanting to lose or play in a draw. We are sending a strong message that it is not over for us and we will fight until the end,” said Ouaddou after the game.
In this game, the Pirates attacked and got a goal in the fourth minute when Oupa Motaung of the Galaxy fouled Moremi outside the box when he was going to face the goalkeeper, he received a red card. The free kick was created when Mofokeng put it in the middle. After that, the Pirates were beaten. Four minutes before the break, Moremi scored from Deon Hotto’s corner kick. This goal was denied by a spear that stabbed at Mbunjana’s home who was passing to his goalkeeper.
In the second half, Pirates continued where they left off, with Mofokeng scoring the second goal eight minutes later. In the 64th minute, Sebelebele scored the fifth, followed by Mofokeng four minutes later.
