A masked singer who split the year on Khozi FM and SABC 1 with the song You will be persuaded by your motherLethukuthula “Mafikizolo” Mhlongo, won the Best Maskandi award at the Metro FM Music Awards to be held at the ICC in Durban, on April 25.
Mafikizolo (27) from Wasbank, Mnambithi, was also nominated for Best Song of the Year and Best Viral Challenge. In Best Maskandi he was competing with Khuzani, Sminofu, Mzukulu and Siya Ntuli from Big Zulu’s Nkabi Nation.
