NOT everyone understands and knows how to use modern technology to distribute the product they sell, and to advertise their business so that it can be known and spread easily and reach many people.

Ms Nandisa Ngubalenga intervenes with her technology business Innohance Digital whose aim is to help emerging companies reach customers easily.

Ms Ngubelanga from Margate, Port Shepstone, said she started this business in 2019, while living in Asia, as in the past years she has lived in Vietnam and China, where she did self-help work to find people who love to travel and find places to visit.

He said his daily job is to build relationships with different businessmen to let them know about the work he does, and then he helps those who already know about his work to advise them on technical strategies to promote business.

“I am very focused on helping customers who need technical support to develop their businesses, and then I come up with ways and strategies to get customers for their businesses. Apart from that, I train people who have businesses on how to run a business so that it can grow,” he said.

He said there are many challenges he faces in this business, including struggling to find customers – which became a big problem around 2021, so much so that he stopped for a while, and returned to his work he was already doing while gathering the strength to continue.

“It is a type of business that is full of competition and it is also very difficult for me because I am a young and black woman. Most of the companies that need to do my work are used to men and white people, which requires you to work hard in order to build credibility and likability to customers,” said Ms. Ngubelanga.

Apart from Innohance, Ms. Ngubelanga also holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Legal Studies and Criminology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management from Mancosa and is already planning to proceed to a Master’s in Computing and Technology.

When asked about his plans for the future, he said: “I want my business to be stable and grow from what it is now, to end up working with big companies as well as different agencies in the government, and then teach people about technology.”
