The PRESIDENT of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump, said that he is about to attack Iran. Trump said that the war between the United States and Iran, which began last month, will end soon.

He said this while talking to the media.

“We will finish soon, it will take two or three weeks to finish the war. In the next two weeks we will turn our backs on Iran, we will be finished. We will finish the work soon.”

The war between Iran and the United States started last month, and it seems that neither wants to budge as both countries continue to attack.

But Trump said there was still a lot of stubbornness left in Iran. He said Iran no longer has weapons of war.

“We have defeated them. The leaders of Iran have all perished. That’s why there are new leaders. It will take them 15 years to rebuild their fighting weapons. I’m just talking to you, they don’t have warships, they don’t have warplanes and they don’t have communication infrastructure.”

Trump said there are ongoing talks to end the war.

“We are talking with them now. We may agree with them before we get rid of them. Everything depends on them. If we don’t reach an agreement, we will get rid of them.”

Trump said that they are happy that Iran will never have nuclear weapons again.

“The main purpose of the attack was to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons.”

Although Trump said that Iran had bent down, Iran’s leaders said they were ready to continue the war even if it took six months to end. The ongoing war has led to an increase in oil prices around the world.

Iran and its neighboring countries are very rich in oil. The war has disrupted the export of oil to many countries as many ships cannot pass through the sea passage called the Strait of Hormuz.

Here in South Africa, petrol increased by R3.06, while diesel increased by more than R7.
