There will be fun in Durban this weekend as the long awaited weekend of the Metro FM Music Awards has arrived.

This year’s event will be held at the ICC in Durban, on Saturday.

It is expected that different celebrities will be seen in this city as they will attend tomorrow’s event.

From Monday, the Metro FM station has been broadcasting in Durban in different areas, in order to persuade people to attend the event.

This week there were events leading to a big event; there was one to donate learning resources to schools in Durban, there were also events where musicians taught about their field, one of these events was held in Durban.

Today it is expected that there will be a ceremony to prepare for the big event which will be held at Tigers Milk, Mhlanga.

Professor, Babalwa M, DJ Sox, DJ Tira, Oscar Mbo, Lamiez Holworthy, DJ Sabby, DJ Tira, Mondli Ngcobo and others will be performing.

Tomorrow’s awards ceremony will be accompanied by a grand banquet to be held at the People’s Park, iMetro FM Music Awards 2026 Festval where different artists will perform including Young Stuna, Big Nuz, Feza, Khuzani, Mafikozolo, Dladla Mshunqis and others.

The musicians will perform at the awards ceremony It is a country found out that they will be secret for the purpose of entertaining the crowd that will be attending the event.

On Sunday, the final closing event will be known as Love Movement, which will be held at Berea Rovers, where artists including Naima Kay, Mondli ngcobo, Zamajobe, Naledi Aphiwe, Nomfundo Moh, Nontokozo Mkhize, Lwah Ndlunkulu and Metro FM broadcasters will entertain.

At the main event, the program will be hosted by Lerato Kganyago and Lawrence Maleka while Lamiez Holworthy will be welcoming the celebrities on the red carpet.

Yesterday, the Metro revealed the news that the VIP tickets have sold out and there are only a few tickets left for the general public.

This week, It is a country reported that ticket theft is increasing, which is a concern for the organizers of the event sponsored by the Municipality of Thekwini
