It is expected that the Metro FM Awards event will attract the attention of many people in the country, as the station’s owners, in collaboration with the company Executive Concerts, have announced that it will be in conjunction with the Music Festival. These events will be held in Durban on April 25.

The awards ceremony will be held at the King Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, while the festival will be held at the People’s Park in Durban. The organizers of the event said that they want to bring fun to the people as the award ceremony will be watched live on TV screens in People’s Park.

Victor Dlokolo who is in the advertising team of this event revealed that they came up with this strategy to entertain people in different ways because not everyone likes the award ceremony.

“These two events will be held on the same day, that’s what we want to emphasize, so that people don’t get confused. For those who don’t like going to the awards, we said let’s make a festival for them so they can have fun with us. We have hired high-quality musicians who will keep them happy throughout the event,” explained Victor.

He said that all those who will attend these events will smoke and believe it as all kinds of music will be celebrated.

“These days people can’t be bothered when it comes to Piano, Maskandi, Hip hop and Gqom music. We have hired different artists to entertain people. Those who will attend the festival will be happy to see artists including Young Stunna, Babalwa M, DJ Tira, Lamiez Holworthy, Lerato Kganyago, Khuzani, Big Nuz, Dlala Thukzin and others,” he said.

He said the program of the event will be hosted by Somizi, Tbo Touch and Sizwe Dhlomo. The festival, he said, will start at 2 pm until midnight.

Tickets for this event are available at Webtickets, Pick n Pay and Boxer for R300 and R750 for VIP.

It just so happens that the musicians are busy encouraging their fans to vote for them in the different channels they are nominated in so that they can walk away with awards.
