ALTHOUGH the people of this country are beginning to lose faith in the judiciary following the emergence of shocking evidence in the Madlanga Commission, but the author Ayanda Mchunu is restoring this hope. This young woman from Swayimani, Pietermaritzburg, has written a book on the 13th No Cheating.

Ayanda said she wrote this letter on purpose to give people hope in the arm’s length of the law “because there have been many criminals because of the belief that the law in this country is not fair when it comes to the investigation of cases.” He said that many people have been killed recently but no one has been arrested.

Ayanda said she wants people to respect themselves, to know that if they do something wrong, they will face the law and punish themselves for their sins. “I believe that it is not only the police’s job to fight crime. We, as citizens of this country, must participate in order to build a better nation than yesterday.”

He said the book will be presented at the public hall in KwaNdlebezembuzi, KwaSwayimani, on June 20.

“In this event, this book will be used to raise awareness among young people not to engage in crime as it will be their month.”

This book is one of Ayanda’s publications since 2019, including: I Thought I’d Stab Myself, Education Is Our Future, Wedding Day, Kuyosa, Results, Words Of Wisdom, He Never Came, I’ve Never Seen Like This, On Thin Ice, The Secret, Echoes Of Courage with us Beyond The Storm.

With these activities, Ayanda has won various awards inDepartment of Arts and Culture Provincial Short Story Compertition. He also won Best Male Author 2024 at The Book Behind Awards.

Ayanda said that she entered this field because she was inspired by the late writer uMeshack Mfaniseni Masondo, who inspired him to write books focused on investigation. “After reading his writings, I watched the time change.”

He said he then wrote a book entitled I’ve Never Seen It Like This which competed in a competition sponsored by the University of Johannesburg (UJ IsiZulu Main Prize for Creative Writing 2024). After that people encouraged me to continue writing this kind of books.
