THE problems of Mgbababa school, Mnganiwakhe High, which have been revealed to be facing a series of problems involving the sleeping disorder of teachers and students, are escalating.

But what worries parents the most now is that learning at school has stopped because there are teachers out of five who are unhappy at school because they feel they are unsafe.
Among the teachers who cannot be seen are those who were arrested by the police in the school grounds on suspicion of sleeping with students, and then there are those whose children were shouting their names and asking where they are going, on top of that the principal of the school has also disappeared.

They said that it has been two weeks now that lessons cannot be taught due to the absence of those teachers. ”Most of the teachers who are not there are the ones who are found to be smelly for sleeping with the students. The next day, all those teachers didn’t come back from school until now,” explained the parent.
The parents say that due to the absence of those teachers, there is no learning in the school. They say that this will end up having a negative impact on matric students towards the end of the year.
“We are very worried about what is happening at school. Our students will fail because it is clear because they always come and are sent back at 10 in the morning because there are no teachers to teach them,” said one parent.
The parents said that if things continue in this way, it is clear that a lot of damage will be seen in the school.
”The truth is that last week’s meeting has nothing to do with it. There it was just going to be played. How can you call a meeting when the principal is not there?” asked another parent.

Earlier, the spokesperson for the Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Mr. Muzi Mahlambi, said that they will conduct a thorough investigation into the series of problems said to have engulfed the school.
