It is reported that a case has been registered in Pretoria North involving suspended SAPS member Sgt Fannie Hezekiel Nkosi. These charges include illegal possession of ammunition, theft, trespassing, and failure to store firearms and ammunition in accordance with the Firearms Control Act.

on Thursday April at about 07:30, “Hawk team raided Nkosi’s home with letter J50. During the operation, the authorities seized 490 illegal bullets and one hand grenade.”

Many dockets from different police stations were also found. The team also found many firearms not kept in a safe place. These include four guns, three guns and one gun.

The inspection confirmed that the guns were registered with King’s name, and valid licenses were displayed. After that search, charges were added, including reckless handling of firearms and possession of a prohibited explosive. Nkosi was arrested and detained at the Pretoria North police station under the SAPS 14 procedure. He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, 7 April 2026. It is reported that the “Madlanga” team is planning to move him from Pretoria North to a safe and undisclosed location.
