Till now there was discussion that AI will take away people’s jobs but now the reports coming out show that AI has opened up huge earning opportunities for electricians and mechanics etc. who have manual skills as compared to those who work sitting in offices. Apart from this, robotics experts are also benefiting from it.

Demand is skyrocketing in India

Talent firm Randstad has analyzed more than 50 million job postings. Their report shows that the demand for trained technical experts in India has increased very rapidly. In the last four years, the demand for electricians in the country has increased by 242%, while the recruitment of cooling and AC technicians who keep data centers cool has increased by 200%. The biggest increase has been seen in the jobs of robotics technicians, where the demand has increased by 500%.

Technicians are beating office jobs in earnings

According to reports, Randstad India CEO Vishwanath PS has called this big change a labor flip. According to him, technical experts are performing much better than the entry level jobs available in offices. According to this report, AI has created a lottery for those who have manual skills such as technicians and mechanics. At the same time, those working behind computers in offices are constantly at risk of being replaced by AI.

  • According to the report, machine operators are earning $7,815 i.e. Rs 6.5 lakh annually and electricians are earning around $3,296 i.e. Rs 2.75 lakh.
