The Swatini group, Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors, will honor the contributions of Irvin Sihlophe, who has passed away but was one of the founders of the Vukile Gospel Festival, which will be held at the Ugu Sports and Leisure stadium, in Port Shepstone, on Sunday.
This was expressed by one of the organizers of the event, Mjosty.
He said everything is ready and I saw this event, what they expect is that they will come to attend as it shows that they are excited.
“Incandi this year will perform at an hour that we consider to be special, to continue to honor and remember Sihlophe as one of the people who founded the event, so we are just saying that the people who came will be happy with us. Everything is ready and the tickets are still available,” said Mjosty.
He pointed out that after 12 years of starting the event, they chose to return to the stadium where it started.
“For years we have been holding the event inside the existing hall in this place but now after we sat down and discussed with the team organizing the event, we decided to go back to where it was presented. Some people were expressing that they liked it on the field, so we chose to bring it back there and we are announcing this news because many people showed to enjoy it, they expressed that they are very relaxed when they are there.”
He said that some of the artists who will perform include Butho Vuthela, Thobekile, Kholeka, Jumbo, Ntokozo Ngongoma, Fikile Mlomo, Andile KaMajola, Betusile, Phindi P and others.
“History will be recorded at this event as Ncandweni will be singing his new songs which have never been heard and which are on his new album for the first time,” he explained.
Another thing that he said will be prayed for this year, is the scandal of killing people that happened in this province, as well as road safety. Tickets for the event are available at Computicket for R150 to R500.
Siyanda Myeza known as MakaTha, Swazy, Madongwe will be hosting the show.
