ONE of the best actors in the etv drama Enemy: The EnemyThobani Nzuza has announced that this year he will return with his play which is, Boy Bravei, which is what he is looking for in acting.

This play, in which he stood out when he was trained in acting at the Durban University of Technology in 2015, and won a number of awards, will be shown at the Seabroke Theatre, Durban High School, Durban from May 1 to 3.

In an interview withOf this country about this play he co-wrote with Kagiso Tsimakwane, Thobani said he chose to bring it back this year because it had been a long time since he last did it as he was last there in 2019. He said he was not getting enough time to focus on it because he was always too busy with the television shows he was working on.

“I agreed that this year at this event, there will be a book of this play, which we have made to make it easier for people who like to follow artistic works by reading books to understand its content,” he said.

Continuing, he said that the game contains the theme of getting young people into crime and getting pregnant at a young age.

“There is also a side of the story that shows how racism has a negative impact on people, which is the side that Kagiso brought up the most because he grew up in Kimberly, Northern Cape, so he saw the situations of racism up close, I highlight what I saw in the township because I grew up in Mlaza,” said Thobani.

He revealed that he will play the roles of the 11 actors in the play alone, and he will be assisted by singer Hloniphani Art, who will be singing and playing the guitar while the play is going on.

On May 1 and 2 the show will be shown at 7 pm, and on May 3 it will be shown at 3 pm. Tickets to watch it cost R200 at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers – and their book will be available at the event for R200 each.

Thobani’s contributions speak for themselves in the role of acting as he has acted in different television shows which include iHostel, The Gift: The Gifti-The Black DoorI want to see now – Enemy: The Enemy.
