A masked singer who is one of the most popular music fans, Mlabalaba, has revealed that giving himself enough time to prepare his new music, and monitoring the things that happen in people’s lives – helps him find themes to talk about.

Mlabalaba said so in an interview withOf this country about the seventh album Promiseswhich came out at the end of March. It is divided into 17 songs, which combine messages of situations and different things that will happen in life and in the world every day.

He revealed that he started working on this album around October last year, and it is his habit to start at that time to prepare it adequately and properly.

“In the same way with the artists I worked with, I did the way I always do that makes it easier to work with them. I started by writing letters to them, hoping that they wouldn’t say it in the song so that the message of the song is not lost,” he said.

Among the artists he worked with on this song are Mzukulu, General Khumalo, Mashimane, and Samukelisiwe Ncwane who featured in three songs on the album.

“I named it (the album) as Promises because before it came out, it was the song that many people showed interest in after hearing its clip, then I thought it was good to build this project on it. It seems to go well with people as all the songs in it have been listened to more than 200,000 times in different shops that sell music on the internet,” said Mlabalaba.

He said that in this album he is looking for the song It’s actionsthrough which he encourages people not to give up on any situation they face in life, to hope that one day the opportunity to prosper in what they desire will appear.

“There is another one that says What was the money? talking about how it is possible for you to get everything you need in life, but your parents are no longer there to enjoy that success with. There is also us It’s not enoughtalking about the way some women act to show that they are not satisfied with the way they were created, which clearly shows how difficult it is to please them completely,” he said.

Mlabalaba is from Ceza, Lundi. His birth name is Sibusiso Khumalo; and this album is his first six Owl Root (2020), Like Zahara (2021), They are for the heart (2022), Son Of A Carpenter (2023), Ilo Nalo Naloya (2024) and us Thank God (2025).
