Gemini 3.5 Series: Google I/O 2026, the annual event of the giant tech company Google, was held on Wednesday, which was completely colored in the colors of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Google CEO Sundar Pichai kicked off the keynote session by unveiling a slew of new features for users and enterprises. Through this event, he introduced the world to the “Agent Gemini Era”, where AI will not only answer your questions but will also complete all your tasks by taking action itself.

During the event, Sundar Pichai announced Docs Live, a new AI Inbox and visual creation tool Google Pics that makes workspaces smarter. Along with this, the next generation Gemini 3.5 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Pro models were also launched for general users. To make shopping easier, a special feature like Universal Cart has also been introduced.

At Google I/O 2026, DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis introduced Gemini Omni, the most magical and revolutionary multimodal innovation ever, to the world. Its specialty is that it can process video, audio and text simultaneously. These advanced AI models have also been integrated into core products like Google Search and YouTube.

Explosive entry of Gemini 3.5

In this event, Google has launched its next generation superfast models Gemini 3.5. The included Gemini 3.5 Flash is live today, generating output up to 4 times faster than any other model across coding and real-world tasks.

Apart from this, for more difficult and advanced tasks, the company will release its most powerful model Gemini 3.5 Pro in the next month i.e. June 2026. Along with this, Google’s most amazing tool Gemini Omni was also presented to the world. You can consider it as Nano Banana model for making video, which can process video, audio and text together and prepare output.

Docs Live included in Google Workspace

To change the way we do everyday tasks, Google introduced Docs Live feature to create live documents in WorkSpace. With its help, users will be able to easily complete all their important tasks in Gmail, Docs and Keep just by speaking.

Apart from this, a completely new AI Inbox has been added to Gmail, which will automatically manage your important emails. Also, to make visual content and designing easier, a new creative tool Google Pics has also been introduced, which will change the way we work in the workspace.

Major changes in Google Search and YouTube

Google has completely redesigned its most core products, i.e. Google Search and YouTube with Gemini AI. Now Google search will not be limited to just text links. Users will be able to search any question in a conversational style and AI will make a short video of the problem and tell them the exact solution.

Similarly, the experience of watching videos on YouTube is now going to be completely interactive. With the combination of Gemini Omni and Google Flow, users will be able to ask customized questions directly to the AI while watching a video and get help or details in real-time.(REF.)
