This new model is giving tough competition to America’s most expensive and top AI products at a very low and affordable price. Its use has grown rapidly on third-party AI developer platforms like OpenRouter, where it now surpasses Anthropic’s model. Also, many big names, from Sridhar Ramaswami, CEO of cloud data platform Snowflake, to venture capitalist Marc Andreessen have praised its features.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump’s former AI advisor David Sachs had said a big thing. He had said that now China has created an open-source AI model, which is giving tough competition to the best models of America’s biggest AI companies and is as powerful as them.
Will make a model equal to Fable
In a response to Elon Musk on X last month, Z.ai founder Tang Jie said the Chinese startup could create a model equivalent to Anthropic’s Fable before the first quarter of next year.
