Gasoline increases by R3.06 and diesel increases by R7

Gasoline increases by R3.06 and diesel increases by R7

It has been confirmed how much petrol will increase from Wednesday 1st April 2026. The Ministry of Minerals has revealed that petrol will go up and down despite the temporary withdrawal of the R3 tax.

From midnight, drivers will pay the following:

  • Petrol 93 (ULP & LRP): increased by R 3.06 per litre
  • Gasoline 95 (ULP &LRP) increased by R 3.06 per liter
  • Diesel (0.05% sulphur) increased by R7.37 per liter
  • Diesel (0.005% sulphur) increased by R7.51 per liter
  • Illuminating Paraffin increased by R11.67 a litre
  • SMNRP for IP: increased by R15.60 per litre

After the changes that will take place on Wednesday, April 1, a liter of 95 Unleaded petrol will cost R22.53 in coastal areas and R23.36 in inland regions, where 93 Unleaded will cost R23.25. The price of 50ppm diesel will increase to R25.35 on the coast and R26.11 in Gauteng.
